The two main industries in Sekinchan are farming and fishing, these two industries are highly depend to the weather. The villagers always play for calm of ocean and rich in harvest. There are a lot of Chinese temples and Churches in Sekinchan. The main Chinese temple we should visit is Nan Tian Temple (南天宫), a temple in the middle of paddy field.

Nan Tian Temple (or called as Nine Emperor Gods Temple) is located at Site A, this is the only temple at Site A. Nan Tian Temple was establish in Year 1984 and extended in year 2004 into today scale. Nan Tian Temple become the landmark of Site A, Sekinchan. Every 1st to 9th of the Ninth month of Lunar Calendar, the worshipers is going to celebrate birthday of Nine Emperor Gods (Jiu Huang Ye or 九皇爷) for a period of ten days. This is the most important religious event in Sekinchan.

Tian Fu Gong Temple in Sekinchan

Tian Fu Temple 天福宫

Tian Fu Gong is located beside the paddy field. It is first Chinese temple in Sekinchan, it was established around 1940. Villagers pray here for the successful of cultivation and grain harvest.
Bao An Temple in Sekinchan

Bao An Temple (Xiu Gu Temple) 保安宫 （秀姑庙）

Bao An Temple has been established about 60 years. This the largest temple in Site C.
Xian Fa Shi Gong Temple in Sekinchan

This temple was establish in 1963, and rebuild in the year of 1981. This is the biggest temple in Sekinchan.

This temple build in 1982, Ma Tzu (妈祖) in this temple is played for good weather.
